Such a backlog is not an emergency, but there might be vandalism and spam that has been sitting around for days. I’ve been working carefully through the backlog. Thanks for posting this thread

Like Adelaide wisely stated, we need to stop treating a high patrol count like an emergency every time the count gets high. It is a sign of a dynamic and healthy website, and with interns and good faith editors making a lot of edits, the main thing is to take time and make sure whatever patrolling is done is done well.
