Ok. Just how much is too much. We have pet rock articles and teddy bear articles, etc… but where do we draw the line… We are getting how to give a pet rock a bath and how to POTTY TRAIN a pet rock!? I would like to see some discussion and some direction…

If it can’t be done in reality, support NFD with no questions asked. There’s the line I draw.
can you look up the autor to see if he is undrrsage to sight into wikihow

That doesn’t solve the problem…just the problem with a single author.

I don’t know. Kids are all about their imagination…but at the same time it’s ridiculous regarding the things that you can do with pet rocks. Bathe them, feed, teach to walk? Imagination is one thing, but if it gets a bit overboard and weird, I’d NFD it. I also agree with Maluniu.

We had this discussion previously. The conclusion, as I recall, was to allow realistic instructions, but to delete anything which assumed the rock was sentient. Thus: Make a house for your pet rock Clean your pet rock Paint your pet rock would all stay… while: Sing your pet rock to sleep Break up with your pet rock Kill your pet rock would all be deleted.
I think we should go with Loiswade42 ,i think the answer we reached last time was perfect

Lois summed it up pretty well. That’s how I remember it.

Bath… hm… you CAN clean a rock… with soap… and a washcloth. Birth Certificates though… (sighs) I think that’s pushing it a bit too far. I mean… what are you going to say? “Born in Pangea, Year Zero?” ugh!

Rocks were never meant to be pets. They should all be liberated and end this cruelty.

I think pet rock activities are among the purest “Games of Imagination” and might all better be in a new category under that. Unlike other toys, the point of pet rocks is that they they *don’t* look like anything. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pet_Rock
I tag them with impossible as it is impossible to take your pet rock to the movie, but I do like Lois’ suggestion. MA
Yeah, I agree with most people, when is some rock gonna help you in life?!
