About 10 mintutes ago I tried going on wikiHow, it said I was logged out. The problem with that is that I almost never logout my account. I know I left it up. So I tried to log-in, it said I entered my username or password in wrong. I tried loging-in over 20 times, same answer every time. So I gave up and went to the forums. It said I was loged-in. Any idea whats up with that?

This is the only place I can type and it be published on the wikiHow site. When I tried editing, it said there was an error and I tried posting a comment, it said there was an error also.

Hmm, Steve, try posting in the bugs, or, once I got locked out of my account because someone got in. They didn’t do any damage (Thankfully!) so I asked Jack, and he talked to Krystle. She helped get be back in, and gave me a new password. Ask for her help. Also, I suggest you change your password every month. It logs me out too, and like you, that never happens for me either. Long story short, keep changing your passwords.:wink:June Days

Maybe try clearing the cache/cookies? I had the same problem for a bit, and I’m pretty sure doing that helped. =)

How do I clear the cache/cookies thing? Thanks for the help. I’m going to my Grand parents until Monday, should I be able to get on here if it’s a different computer?

Wikihow has an article on that. Since I’m not at my pc right now, I’d ask that you research it on the site.

I’ve been using my Grandparents computer for last couple of days is the only reason 've been editing on the site. Got to go home in around 14 hours. Thanks for the tips everyone.

I just talked to my dad about it and he said it’s probily because he has Browser 7 and sites have not been supporting it. Examples of sites that don’t support browser 7: Pay Pal and Youtube.

Thurseday-Monday I was able make edits using a different computer and I’m back to the computer I use, so I can’t edit/write messages now. ): I’m guess I’m no use for wikiHow anymore… If I leave, I’m going to leave my account up so yall willn’t lose 1,200+ edits, but willn’t answer my messages. I really hope that doesn’t happen. My dad he might update his browser! I just don’t see why I need to go on wikiHow because all I can post on is the forums. Just keep in mind that most of this is rumors and rumors could be true or false.

@CoffeeLover wikiHow is compatible with most browsers. I’m not sure what you were referring to with “Browser 7”. There is no browser called “Browser”:slight_smile:It’s usually either Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Chrome. Do you have an e-mail address associated with your account? I’m was sure either, but thats what my dad says he uses. I don’t have an e-mail account, but my dad has one though. Thanks you so much for help that could work. I fmy account got hacked or something, it would suprise me becaus ein the last 3 weeks 2 of my accounts outside of here have been hacked. I use the same password, but slightly different user name.

CL, you can create a free email account … no need to borrow one from someone else. Then use that free email as your contact email here. From then on you can get a password reset via email. Also communicate directly via email through the site.

I recommend Gmail, but there are plenty of free e-mail sites (like Yahoo and stuff) out there.
