I’ve been watching a lot of the tools being used over the past 2 years, and have been watching rather closely those that come from the Spellchecker. Although I find it works great, it’s got some problems. I do believe that when an article is marked as inuse it should be exempted from going through the spellchecker (until the inuse template is removed). However, it has not been. I don’t know if this is a known bug or if this is just an issue that has been overlooked when it was adjusted for v2, but perhaps it can be looked into soon. Although the edits that come through the spellchecker from an inuse tag seems fine, when a tag is tagged as inuse, this means that there is a major edit upcoming or is being held by someone to look into who may or maynot have an edit immediately there following. Although I’m presently working on an article I’m talking about that it’s beginning to clash with me, I do feel that this should be looked into as not to create clashes with others’ big edits in the future.

Yeah, this is a great point - I’ve noticed this, too. It’s not exactly detrimental to the content to get errors fixed, but I can understand it’s annoying! I did file a bug for this a few weeks ago - it’s just relatively speaking, a little lower on the priority list than some of the big 'uns. Hopefully it can be done eventually, though… maybe when we have a summer intern who’s got the time to tackle all manner of annoyances
The spellchecker is a winner because it’s a subject I was always good at. I might misspell a few words but everyone does at some point or another.
