So I’ve noticed that when you edit Related wikiHows directly by clicking Edit on the Related wikiHows tab, the Preview option doesn’t work. It pops up the “This is only a preview” message, and acts like it’s previewing something, but nothing actually shows up. It’s just a blank spot. (For the record, the page fully loads - it just doesn’t show the Relateds.)
Here’s a screenshot of what it looks like after the page fully loads.
I’m pretty sure that’s not supposed to happen, so I’m going to file a bug report. I’d like to actually be able to see what I’m doing there
I screenshotted this bug on Chrome 54.0.2840.71 (although it’s been appearing since at least September) using Mac OS X 10.10.3. I tested on Safari, logged out and on a different article, and got the same results.

Thanks Alex! Yeah to be honest previewing one section at a time has been a little bit funky, even with other sections, for as long as I can remember - but I can see the newer Relateds issue makes it extra funky. Maybe it’d be better if Preview just always showed you the whole article instead of one little section at a time? Either way, I can file a bug report for this - thanks!
PS In the meantime, I’d probably just hit the edit button at the top instead and look at the whole article - that looks like it’s working okay!
Another thing: If you preview just the steps (where it shows just all the methods/parts of the article, no introductions, tips, warnings, anything like that), why does it show the Relateds at the same time? For all I know, that’s a separate section and I definitely don’t see it in the text box where you type stuff before/after you preview. I see the same thing when previewing either just the tips or the warnings (also Sources and Citations although that’s a section rarely edited anyway). Not that it really gets in the way or anything, but for some this might be an eyesore to have to keep looking at before they can get back to the text box after looking at a preview of their work so far.

Thanks @McDonalds
- I already included that in the report, but it’s good to know it’s happening for everyone and not just me. Appreciate it! Hopefully an engineer can spruce things up there in due course… My guess is the simplest answer is going to be just previewing the whole article, even if you’re only in a section edit. After all, it can get kind of weird only seeing one part of the thing, anyway!
Oh okay. Good to know I’m not the only one who’s seen it as well!
Hi there I don’t understand!
That happened when I did how to a flower braid.
Oh! I figured the problem go to another style of editing its set out completely different (:
