When you try to print an article, the formatting issues are so bad that it can actually make it impossible to read the article. Images won’t upload, so I will share them with a link.

The first issue is that the title does not appear, here is an image from the Sandbox . This may make it hard for someone to figure out what an article is about: Image:Sandbox Title Cut off.jpeg - wikiHow

The second issue is that nothing shows up in the “Author Info” section: Image:No Author info.jpeg - wikiHow

The third issue is that the parts (and methods) boxes have overlapping text. Also, the images are not centered: Image:Part and image issue.jpeg - wikiHow

The fourth issue is that sentences abruptly end at the end of the page: Image:Sentence cut off.jpeg - wikiHow . This would not be a big issue, but the sentence does not continue on the next page: Image:Sentence did not continue.jpeg - wikiHow . Also, the part 2 heading did not appear for the next part.

Here, an image got cut off: Image:Image cut off.jpeg - wikiHow
Also, the submit a tip box appears in the print out, which should not happen: Image:Submit a tip on paper.jpeg - wikiHow
Also, the things you’ll need section got cut off: Image:No things you'll need.jpeg - wikiHow

The next issue I found issues on was this one : Image:Text only bug.jpeg - wikiHow
In this article, there is a large space in the Co-authord section. Also, the download article link exists, even though you can’t do that on paper. And the text only selector text is still there, but you already have the option to disable it when printing, and it might be confusing since it could imply that an article is text only even though I printed it with images.

In the next article , there is a gap in the reference section and it does not show the number of references: Image:Reference bug.jpeg - wikiHow
Also, this image shows that even though it’s a list article, it shows methods. Also, this article has the like and comment buttons, but the images do not show up on the printout, and the comment button should not be displayed in printed articles: Image:Like bug.jpeg - wikiHow

Anyways, that’s what I found. There may be other issues with some of the newer formats. Some of these bugs may cause important information to be removed from the article, which could make it impossible to read.

Thanks R2, it definitely seems that something might be up with the formatting, because they weren’t like this previously! Thanks for letting us know - I’ve passed your feedback on so someone can check it out.

Also, recipe articles ask you to “leave a review” on printed articles, which I don’t think would work to well.

And with Community Q&A, there are no profile pictures even though there is a space for them.

And, this isn’t a bug, but since the article is being printed, could the number of contributors also be listed in the Co-authored section at the top right under the title? If you are logged in, it will print it, but if you are logged out, it won’t. I know that it is changed because of Google, but since an article is printed out, Google shouldn’t matter in that case. I don’t know how difficult that would be to implement though.

@R2_d2000 The “print” function has had some changes made, so articles should be looking better now!
