I have noticed that unregistered users are shown as they’re IP… well, these days giving any kind of private information to the public might be dangerous. I suggest that unregistered users are not viewed as they’re IP’s. it might be dangerous.

I’m pretty sure each anon is warned about that before they publish their edit.
When you edit as an anon, you’re agreeing that your edits will be published under your IP address. If you want to hide your IP, get an account. Simple as that. Not to mention that identifying anons by their IP can be helpful in certain cases, as it recently helped us find out whether a certain trouble maker (the more active users will know who I’m talking about) was using proxies.
