Hi guys! I was on wikiHow a couple minutes ago when some profile pictures were not displaying. I was wondering what’s the case.

I am seeing it as well. It is a forums issue, and I see it with @Vishwavijay , @MissUnicornLover , and @Mercedesbell . Other profile pictures seem to display fine for me.

It was only Vishwavijay this morning, but the last two aren’t showing either.

@McDonalds1 @DragonZKai7 Yes, I can’t see mine, Vish’s, Mercedez’s or Elle’s profile pictures either.

I just inspected the element for Mercedes’ profile picture, and found that this error message… Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) …appears for 4 of the profile pictures, which could be the ones that I am not seeing. I guess that it is just one of those days that Vanilla is always ever-so-slightly broken.:confused:

I cant see only my profile picture since morning.
Thanks for tagging dan, I just came to know about it hence.
I didnt mention it in the bug report, because theres much going on at it, so.

Reporting anything that’s not usual is a good idea. Who knows, people could be seeing the same thing like right now, Vish!

There were a few behind-the-scenes changes made in the profile picture area last week so it’s possible that had an impact here, especially if folks happened to change their pictures during that work. @Vishwavijay  and @MissUnicornLover , would you mind trying to change your profile picture now (either a new one, or reupload the same one over again), so we can see if that solves the problem?

Hi @Adelaide ! On my laptop, I still can’t see your profile picture. The question mark’s still there:confused:Is it only yours that is showing or are other pics displaying?

I’m not seeing @Adelaide ’s profile picture:confused:It says Adelaide and then her name again. What on earth? This is the same with all the other users

I justchanged my profile picture, which will take a few hours to show on the forums @Anna . Thank you for looking into the matter:slight_smile:

No prob - Reuben is set to take a look at a few different image issues we’ve seen popping up in the last couple of days, and if he can’t get to the bottom of it quickly, I’ll file a bug report with all your examples to help the hunt in the long run. One of those tricky ones that’s haunting just a few folks - weird! Thanks for sharing the examples with me:slight_smile:

Observation for bug report: wfGetPad() is not adding pad url prefix  ( http://pad1.whstatic.com ) …

i.e Vanilla is not the cause of the problem, rather the URL that is passed to Vanilla is a relative link, not an absolute one to an image on an image scaler server.
