Although I had these ideas on my to-write list in the forums ever since my month time last summer, when I decided it was time to go through again with Q&A Patrol about 3 weeks ago, one thing that got me thinking was the amount of trouble I’m having with seeing all the available questions on an article (especially on mobile browsers including Edge and Chrome (both on iPhone)).

  1. You see when I use my browser and have to click “See more answers” from QAP (Question&Answer Patrol), it opens this page up in another tab. Yet, when I switch back into QAP, it refreshes my screen and opens a different pair making the time spent looking in the See more answers page useless. Would there be a way we could get the extended list right from QAP? Also got thinking that if we had a way where patrol could send the most relevant questions related to the patrolling pair to the already-answers questions set for checking for duplication.
  2. From the “See more answers” page, there’s no way for Q&A Editors to edit question/answer pairs - like there is from the article page. Could there be a way we could get the edit button placed right on these pages, or is there a trick to editing these pairs by revising the URL? I despise having to use the “Flag answer” button when it’s just a teensy bit fixable with a tiny bit of editing that could be done to fix these problems, and past the first ten on the article page, the remainder seems to be found on the “See more answers” page.

I’ve also noticed some other various issues, but hadn’t written them down. (Probably more on this in time.)

These are definitely good points, but unfortunately I don’t think they’re likely to change any time soon. We did put in a request for #2 in 2021, so it’s technically on the rainy day list, but not looking likely for any time soon. I’ll add a note for #1 just in case we get another Q&A tool update!

Phoeey. Thank you.
