I am not sure if this is a problem the wikiHow or just problem with my device (Android tab if that helps in any way) but Quality Guardian isn’t really working. If I press ‘Yes’, ‘No’ or ‘Skip’. It won’t do anything, it’ll just load for half a second and it won’t change tip or anything. It has been doing that for two days now so I just thought I would point it out just in case there is some sort of throttle.

Hmm, weird. There’s no throttle or anything in that tool. I checked it out just now and it seems to be working for me… I also looked at your logs, and there are plenty of votes by you over the last couple of days. I wonder if it’s something just looking funky on your device? The tool is really optimized for desktop use rather than a mobile device- can you give it a whirl on a computer and see if it behaves any differently for you there?
I refreshed the page and it seemed to work okay for a while.

- no need to post again just to tag; I check back on posts like this. If it’s a crucial and urgent bug, I’ll check more over the weekend, but this seems to be working okay for most people. It’s also 9:40am on a Sunday, and I’m spending time with my family, but you can rest assured I’d get to it when able

Did you try it out on a computer as I suggested? What happened in a desktop browser?
I don’t have a computer to use, I normally go on desktop browser on my tab though.

Ok - we can’t guarantee that desktop tools are going to work on mobile devices. That being said, I was able to get it to work on both my computer and my phone. I also see you voted successfully as recently as two hours ago, several hours after first submitting this bug. Is it working again now? If not, can you upload a screencast of what’s happening? That’d help with figuring out what’s going on.
I’m not sure they’d be much to show on a screenshot. It just simply doesn’t do anything but I will upload a screenshot just in case
it may be of any help.

Thanks Ruby - I actually meant a screencast, though, ie a video of what happens. I’m trying to get a sense of why your logs are showing votes. Does it work and then stop working? Is it working on some devices but not others?
Yeah, it works sometimes but not other times, if I refresh it will start or stop working usually.

Thanks for clarifying. That must be annoying - sorry about that! I’ve been playing around in the tool and trying to reproduce the issue but haven’t had any luck. If it’s just an issue for one person at the moment, then it’s more likely to be your setup than the tool itself (and the tool also isn’t optimized for tablet use). If anyone else is having similar issues on a desktop/laptop computer, though, please do let us know - screencasts (videos) and browser info for any desktop/laptop system having this issue would be very helpful.

This application requires JavaScript. In order for you to have an enhanced experience with this, you must be able to run JS (which is only available on a few mobile browsers). Also, please check that you have a good internet connection and try again.

Again, there’s not much we can do here if it’s not happening consistently on desktop and we can’t get screencasts, browser info, etc. I know it’s a pain, but we really need specifics in order to be able to verify/reproduce and fix any bugs, not just commentary that you think it’s happened to you as well before.
I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If you have the issue happening to you on a desktop/laptop computer and can grab a screencast of it, along with browser info, please feel free to file the issue again. Thanks!
