There appears to be a problem with the “Your Guardian Stats” box when using the Quality Guardian tool. The “Today” count seems to be counting correctly but the “This Week” and “Total” is resetting itself each time I start the application again. I noticed this last night that it reset itself (for the this week count and total count) and worked it’s way up as I reviewed edits. Then I logged in this morning and started the app again, and it was showing the correct number for both this week and the total counts. Once I began reviewing images/videos, though, it reset itself and started back at 1. I logged out and cleared all of my browser settings (and cache, cookies, etc.) and logged back in. I went to the tool and it did the same thing again…showed the proper numbers, and then reset itself when I began using the tool. I am using Windows XP SP3 and Firefox 4.0.1. Here’s a screenshot of the bug. As you can see the “This week” count should be 1153, not 2. Hey Maniac, I can’t reproduce this with Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.18. Does the same thing happen for you on other browsers? Do you have any special wikiHow toolbars installed?

I had this problem on QC, and on RCPatrol too, but then it just stopped doing it.

@Krystle I just tested it on Windows 7, same deal. Both Firefox 4.0.1 and Firefox 5.0. I don’t think I can downgrade to your version very easily to test it though… It did the same thing - Today stats are correct but This Week and Total are resetting everytime I open the Quality Guardian app. If you need me to take a video of it I can…

Yeah, could you record a screencast Maniac? Including you clearing cache and force refreshing at the beginning? I upgraded to FF 5 since I posted here and just tried to reproduce this issue again but couldn’t.

@Krystle Alright…this is the first time I’ve ever used this tool so I have no clue if I did everything right. Hopefully this shows you the issue though. I cleared my browser’s entire history at the beginning including cookies and cache. I also refreshed using both the refresh button in Firefox as well as ctrl-f5. Thanks for the screencast. I’ve filed a bug report ( #542 ) and the video will help a lot with pinning this down!

Is there any update on this? It’s been quite a few months… I’m seeing this problem on other tools too, including the Categorizer and possibly the Video Adder tool.

I know it is not a priority but just bumping this up since it has been a year and a half since it was first reported and it is still happening daily.
