I’ve had my name on the https://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:Community-Topic-Areas
page for the longest time. However, although the page says that it’s a list to ask a user who’s knowledgable in a topic, I have gotten no response any topics I’m subscribed to. Is there a way that someone can introduce a feature that actually utilizes this page? I find it unuseful to me, since nobody tries to connect with me or even mentions that they are finding issues in the articles I"m subscribed to.
I may eventually remove my name from this list, but still unsure what I’m thinking about doing for my connection to this list.

It could help to have it linked from the main page.
Even better, a link on all article pages would feed SEO and promote user clicks to more pages.
Community Topic Areas isn’t really for SEO or non-community purposes - it’s more community-focused so that if you want to collaborate with someone who’s knowledgeable on a topic, you can easily find a user with knowledge in that area. I don’t think the majority of logged-out users would come across that page, even unintentionally.
To be honest, and I realize that this is kind of unrelated, I’m wondering if there’d be a better way to encourage community collaboration in general these days. It feels like most major edits are handled by contracted teams or solitary users rather than community members.

Ok. I’ve thought it over and have removed myself from this list - all 72 entries. I never received any ideas to collaborate on - over it’s 6 year run. https://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=wikiHow%3ACommunity-Topic-Areas&type=revision&diff=28406494&oldid=28406344
I know. My SEO comment is more for the company, dovetailing off the other recent discussion.
Putting the link on ALL article pages would help promote the page to anyone who happens into the WH site.
Most people who use wikiHow wouldn’t have any use for Community Topic Areas, because the majority of our readership is logged-out users. There’d be no real reason to try and promote it or have it picked up by search engines, since the vast majority of those who would come across it wouldn’t know what it’s for, and community members would be more likely to come across it through mention of it in the forums or on Talk pages than if it were linked on article pages.
This is getting off-subject, though. I think if you want to discuss SEO-related stuff, your best bet is talking to Chris H, so we can use this thread to discuss the usefulness of Community Topic Areas itself.
