Hi guys,

One of my articles was recently cleaned up by a member of the community. They did a great job but I wanted to add a minor edit to it. When I did this it reverted back to the old version. How do I make changes to a new version of an article. I went to my drafts section and the draft was of the old article (the one that needed to be cleaned up). I hope this didn’t sound confusing : - ) The article is "How to Choose Bedwetting Diapers for an Older Child or Teenager. Here’s the link if anyone wants to take a look. http://www.wikihow.com/Choose-Bedwetting-Diapers-for-an-Older-Child-or-Teenager

Hi,
Firstly,
Please ask the one who edited your article or rolled back your edits, why they felt that was the right thing and your edits were not the best. Then you will know where you went wrong. If you have a justification about why you made a change, you may have a clear discussion. No need to feel angry.
I noticed:

  1. The introduction could be with 2,3 lines discussing about the product the article is about.
  2. The steps have the bold heading first. Choose smaller and related step heading. Then explain the details in the steps in about 2,3 lines at least.
  3. The tips are really lengthy. You may consider making it to the point and more crisp.
  4. Sources and citations Do not have any links??? It must have link (in green color) of other credible sites.
You may check an article say about diapers in wikiHow and see how it is formatted, the simplicity in the language, the steps, and sources and citation section.

Hope this help.Thanks.

To edit the current version, click on the article link. (It should be on your user page.) Click edit and you will be refining the current version. Your drafts are primarily for recovering unpublished versions of the article and adjusting them. Note that when your edit of a previously saved draft is published, it will overwrite the current version (and this is what I think happened to you). By the way, all published versions of the article can be accessed by clicking the links in the article history. Just remember - Anything you edit and publish will supplant the current version of the article.
