Hi all… I got a notification message on the screen that I have a fan mail… Well, I went there it was empty. I kind of feel stupid asking this question, but I still would like to know Why?.. What could possibly have happened? This is a first time I get a fan mail. That is why I am asking. Thank you for your help.:slight_smile:Laura.

Laura, Sometimes the fan mail is not fan mail at all. A patroller COULD have rolled back the unfriendly message but the wikiHow computer doesn’t know that. Instead you receive your fan mail notificaion.

Looks like a glitch to me. I’ll copy this thread to Tech Help. I went to her fan mail page… blank. Sent her a fan mail from an article she wrote… page was STILL blank.

Krystle , I do not believe I got an e-mail notification. I was talking about the notification I saw on the screen when I opened my profile. It said that I had a fan mail. I am sorry, but I can not find anything in e-mail.

Apparently so! I recreated this issue and submitted a bug report to prevent empty fan mail from getting submitted. Thanks for pinning this down!

It turns out it was an issue where people can submit an empty comment, which makes people think they have new fan mail when they do not. We’re fixing this so that it doesn’t happen again. Thanks for reporting this Laura!
