Is there a forum ban log that us users can view? I know I can see the reason why someone got banned from the forums because of the famous red:no_entry_sign:but is there a way to see when moderators do stuff? Because I know the block log on the main site is public and synchronized with the forums, but I do not see an equivalent log on the forums.

On a related note, it appears that @system is not automatically suspending users from the forums when they are blocked from the main site.

I don’t believe so. Admins can view the forum moderation logs, but it’s part of the admin dashboard so it’s not accessible to non-admins. Outside of that, I don’t think there’s anything, which is standard for most forum platforms.

The ops/system doesn’t suspend users when they’re blocked on wikiHow itself - it silences them instead, which doesn’t show up on user profiles. But we’ve had an instance here and there where it’s bugged out and hasn’t silenced a blocked user. If you come across a user who’s been blocked on wikiHow and is still posting on the forums, it’s best to report it on the ANB. (Flagging also works if the posts are inappropriate, but if they aren’t, admins might not always realize what the intent of the flag was.)
