It’s not very often that I run into questions. But here’s a biggie that I’ve been wanting to ask for a little time now. Why isn’t there at least a Discuss tab on the Spell-checker whitelist
( http://www.wikihow.com/Special:Spellcheckerwhitelist
) page?
We could use it to discuss words that we really feel shouldn’t be on the whitelist to begin with. I understand that to edit the page, we need to ask Krystle. That’s okay with me.
I never knew such a page existed. Well, we could use a discussion page under the wikiHow_talk namespace, maybe?
They’re isn’t a discussion page their, because MediaWiki doesn’t implement a “Special_talk” or “Special_Discuss” namespace by default. It is possible to implement custom namespaces however.
You have to talk to Krystle about it because you can’t edit pages in the “Special” Namespace from the web. It usually requires editing the extensions source code, or making database changes, or both.
