A while back I began https://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:Post-on-a-wikiHow-Forums-Discussion-Over-Email-(Discourse)
, and at that time the only information I could figure out was how to post replies. However, that’s not the only idea some people might want to know how to post using their emails connected to their wikiHow forums account. Some people might actually want to post top-level posts - after they’ve been given access to posting new discussions in the forums. However, I can’t seem to find any information about this, and because Discourse doesn’t give much information about that, I can’t seem to find enough information to help give those details (or a variation of such).
If there are any other users who might know from using Discourse in any other site’s forums using the Discourse server platform, please let me know so I know how this is done. The type of responses is the equivalent of typing out these new posts via email that I want to know about, not the subsequent reply posts to already-created posts to the same Discourse forums. I’ve never found Discourse to be very valuable to me without this ability - which stinks!
I don’t believe that the create topic via email feature is enabled here.
I don’t see the appropriate button on the category pages, so I don’t think that we have that feature enabled. You can see more here:
