So I’m having an issue with my two kittens (brother and sister). My adult female cat gave birth to kittens and I chose to keep 2 of them… they were born in April and I had tried to litter box train them (wasn’t happening) kept going upstairs or would rip up the carpet and start squatting. Now I moved to a new house with just those two kittens and at night I have to keep them in our laundry room with their food water and liter box… they will use the box IF THEY ARE IN THAT ROOM… other than that if they are left out at night they won’t use it. And during the day they will use it occasionally but sometimes I catch them ripping up at the carpet and start squatting again… HELP WHAT DO I DO??? My fiancé is starting to get angry and wants me to get rid of them if I don’t figure something out… and I love them dearly they’re so sweet but I can’t get them to use the box!

Hmmm this can be caused by numerous things… have you tried using different kinds of litter or getting a new box? If not, it’s worth a shot! If this doesn’t work, ask your vet for advice or try encouraging them with treats! (not too many ofc!)
For the ripping the carpet, I never heard of this… I have heard of cats tearing up sofas, chairs, etc but not the carpet. Squatting? You mean fighting with each other? That is natural, if there are no real physical injuries involved then this is just them playing and being kittens, as they get older they will do it less frequently. If they are, however, inflicting actual damage and doing this often then you would need to seek expert advice.
The ripping there are ways to deal with this, cat scratching posts help (I would recommend getting top quality ones and don’t just get one, get a few and put them everywhere in the house) and clipping/filing the cats’ claws also helps, however it is highly not recommended to get your cats declawed! DO NOT DO IT! it will only makes things worse, trust me! If you don’t know how to do this, you can easily find out online or from your local vet
Also it helps if you play with your kittens as often as possible so that they are not doing this out of boredom
