This appears to be a continuation of Quick Summary UI not working on the page 6 Ways to Find the IMEI or MEID Number on a Mobile Phone - wikiHow .

I needed to edit the summary because the code given was incomplete. The code that is supposed to be dialed to get the IMEI of a phone is *#06# , not *#06 .

I am betting I might need to rearrange or change the article to get the thing to work.

Ok I tried to edit the page (not the summary page) to remove the hyphens and that did not change anything. One workaround would be to open the Summary: namespace to new article boosters in case the quick summary UI fails. Or maybe there is something that should not be edited about this summary.

I’m guessing that the bug is being caused by the lack of a last sentence.

Ok so I figured out how to kind of get around this bug for certain pages.

  1. Remove the summary code manually from the page X.
  2. Go to the page in summary namespace to access the quick summary (Summary:X)
  3. Click on “Edit quick summary” and repaste the summary in the quick summary field.
  4. Edit and publish.

That does not seems as straightforward as just using the summary editor. I think this should still be filed as a bug.
