This is something so minor or trivial that it may not require much.

I have used reference names before, and while it is not officially supported, it still works on wikiHow. The advantage is that it is more honest as if we cite the same source 30 different times, it does not fill the references with the same citation when we use reference names.

However, I found out what is wrong with the footnotes with the reference names, and this can be a pretty simple fix… I think.

Basically, you need to add a non-breaking space between each reference marker. So instead of this:

You get this:

I am leaving it for rainy day as it is only a readability issue, not a problem with how references are parsed.

I figured this out by experimenting in the developer tools.

Or add CSS padding to the footnotes. IDK.
