Hi! I’ve noticed this a couple times, but I haven’t been able to figure out what’s going wrong yet. While patrolling recent changes, sometimes the RC patrol app won’t continue to the next edit. Rather, if I click on “mark as patrolled”, “rollback”, or “skip”, the current edit stays up on the screen. The button is available to click still, but nothing that is clicked works. I usually just leave the app and do some other work around wikiHow because I don’t want to accidentally mark a bad edit as patrolled, but it’s getting pretty annoying :/. It doesn’t seem to have anything to do with my patrolling limit (today it didn’t even let me patrol one edit). The traditional RC patrol works perfectly fine, as well.

Here’s my browser info:

If you need a screenshot, let me know. (A screenshot might not do too much, since there isn’t any visual error message, etc.)

Thank you!

A repeat or stall in RCP sometimes happens if there’s some data weirdness in the next item in the queue - like an edit on a moved or merged page. Typically if we go and patrol that item manually, it fixes things. This probably isn’t the kind of thing we are realistically going to address at the tool level because there are lots of different causes, but instead we can take care of the given edit when one causes an issue; next time it happens, send a screenshot on my talk page and I can pinpoint what’s next in the queue and patrol or revert it if it’s causing an issue.
