I’ve noticed this quite a few times; when I’m on RC patrol, I can’t click the “coach for bad” quick note button. The cursor looks like I can click it, but when the button is pressed, nothing happens. I’m using Google Chrome on a Chromebook.

@Oddyasheck Hmm, weird! I haven’t seen this particular issue before, and just tested on Chrome on a Chromebook and found it was working, so it’s at least good to know it’s not a universal issue. Have you tried other browsers and devices and seen it there, too, or just on this one system? Are you running any kind of extensions or add-ones? Or does your school district or employer set any restrictions on your Chromebook or network? We’ve occasionally seen folks running into issues on Chromebooks because of software/limits along those lines. Can you get a screencast of what happens? That might help us work out what’s going on.

I haven’t tried any other devices, I’ll do that tomorrow. I got a screenshot of it, but I’m not too sure how to add it to this post.

It isn’t too big a deal, I just thought the template might be helpful in letting editors know why I reverted their changes. If we can’t get it fixed, I can always just save a basic one and copy-paste it.

It happens to me too, but it happens after I edit the “Thanks for your edits on (insert link here).”.

Edit to add: @Joshua-R.-Lui Sorry, I misunderstood your issue at first - yeah, after you type I don’t think the buttons will necessarily work. If you reload the Quick Note window, they should work again. Or use them before you type, and you’ll be okay:slight_smile:

@Oddyasheck If you could provide browser info and a screencast (video), that’d be great!

Here are a few options for making a screencast:  https://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Screencast - https://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Video-Screencast-with-Jing - https://www.wikihow.com/Record-a-Screencast-with-Screencast‐O‐Matic - you can share it with me via email, if you don’t want to post it here.

Then for browser info, this is a good site to use:  https://aboutmybrowser.com/?nr

It might also help to check your console logs and screenshot any errors there:  https://www.utest.com/articles/capturing-console-logs-in-chrome-browser - (side note, I don’t know if we have a wikiHow on viewing console logs, but it’d make a good article!)

I know it’s a pain, so if you don’t want to troubleshoot, I totally get it! But these steps would be necessary for me to do anything about or help with your issue. If not, then @Oddyasheck , as you said, writing a different Quick Note or using a template is totally okay, too:slight_smile:
