I created a template called {{Rinuse}}. It is a message to send to a user when you are removing their {{inuse}} tag after 5 days of notification. Simply type {{Rinuse|Article name}} and a message will show up. Try it!

Consider it

Thanks!

Templates are only allowed to be used publicly after consensus to create have been achieved. Otherwise, no public consensus means it shouldn’t and will be moved to your namespace instead. Sorry.

@Byankno1 Is there a reason why it isn’t allowed? Is it to allow future templates to be created without worry of overwriting existing templates?

@WikiaWang If you want to create a template, create it in your user subpage. Go to https://www.wikihow.com/User:WikiaWang/Rinuse . Move the data from the {{Rinuse}} template to that link. When you want to use the template, type {{User:WikiaWang/Rinuse}}.

Edit: It seems that Byankno1 has already moved the template for you. You can use that in the meantime.

Heya, Adam!

The first step listed in How to Create a wikiHow Template is to build a community consensus first. Not to be too copy/pasta from the article, but “If you are creating a template to be placed on the article page, or a talk page template that coaches a new editor, show it to the community in the forums before you start using it. Since these templates can clutter up article pages or easily discourage authors, respectively, it’s important to seek consensus before using a new one.”

We also want to make sure that the content being shown to readers and editors alike aligns with the overall community culture and established policies/procedures. :)

Heads up: UIB and award templates are a completely different story. As long as they aren’t a duplicate already, they are allowed - no consensus needed.
