This is the voting thread for whether we should keep the “Pet Rock” articles. Please reply saying whether you would like to keep them and why. Lets start this off now then… I think they should be deleted because they are “Not a how to” and a “Joke topic” as any right minded individual should think… By the way this is all of them, not just ones that are not alive…

“Stupid” is not an NFD reason. Please review the wikiHow Deletion Policy
and provide a reason from there. I believe they should be kept, as they violate no part of the deletion policy.

Should be kept. They are informative articles, after all. As long as the pet rocks aren’t referred to as living things, I think they’re alright. And I agree with the ^^ above comment.

gray: They’re how to articles if they’re in the appropriate format, which they are. They are not jokes because they are written to be real articles, not to be farcical.

We’ve been through this before… several times. Keep them so long as they don’t assume the rock is sentient. Dump them if they start assuming the rock can do sentient (self aware) things such as think, die, eat, break up, have relationships, etc.
They should be kept, as long as they’re not referred to as living things.
