I was reviewing all the Autism Spectrum articles recently and realized that several of them deal with communicating with partners. I feel that category browsers might benefit from a specially-delineated section on romance, especially if they’re an autistic person in love, or a person in love with an autistic person. Benefits: 1. A pretty, perfectly-organized autism section. (No I am not a neat freak.) 2. It would encourage autistic people and their partners to step into each others’ shoes, and explore articles written for the other person. 3. It would remind the hyperventilating parents, and random curious people, that autistic people are capable of forming loving, lifelong relationships. All the more evidence that we aren’t doomed or broken. Actually, that was mean. Why don’t we just put them in the other relationships category?

Clarification: I was thinking that the “Romantic Relationships and Autism” category might be a subcategory of “Autism Spectrum.” These articles could go under the new category, and then also under whatever “Relationships” subcategory matches the individual article (e.g. finding a date, long-term relationships).

@MissLunaRose @Bob13 I think Bob meant a Romantic Relationships and Autism category like you proposed- which sounds like a great idea to me.

Sounds good, but perhaps something like a “Romantic Relationships and Disabled Persons” category sounds a bit more fair.
