The occasional debate on whether RuneScape articles that break the RuneScape rules should be allowed on wikiHow is pointless - why not make a subcategory about it? I can’t think of what to call a Rulebreaking RuneScape category, but the following articles would fit under illegitimate means of playing the game: http://www.wikihow.com/Beat-Scammers-in-Their-Own-Game-in-RuneScape http://www.wikihow.com/Buy-a-RuneScape-Account http://www.wikihow.com/Do-Art-Money-in-RuneScape http://www.wikihow.com/Find-a-RuneScape-Drop-Trader http://www.wikihow.com/Have-No-Ads-in-the-New-RuneScape http://www.wikihow.com/Loot-RuneScape-Drop-Traders http://www.wikihow.com/Multiple-Login-in-RuneScape-in-High-Definition http://www.wikihow.com/Password-Scam-in-RuneScape http://www.wikihow.com/Real-World-Trade-on-RuneScape-With-Usfine http://www.wikihow.com/Sell-Your-Runescape-Account http://www.wikihow.com/Do-a-Drop-Trade-on-RuneScape http://www.wikihow.com/Double-Your-Money-on-Runescape http://www.wikihow.com/Double-Your-RuneScape-Money http://www.wikihow.com/F2P-Runescape-Doubling http://www.wikihow.com/Trick-Somebody-Into-Giving-You-Money-in-RuneScape http://www.wikihow.com/Transfer-Items-in-RuneScape There are probably more. Anyway, a lot of these are subtle (or not-so-subtle) spam as well…is it any wonder?

Is there another reason to create this suggestion? And any other “better” way to rephrase it?

^ Essentially, articles that encourage defying the rules of RuneScape have been mixed in with legitimate ways to play the game - a separation of the two might help people find what they are looking for faster. It might also save a few morally wrong, but useful, articles from a vote on deletion. There are so many RuneScape articles that I’m surprised there aren’t more categories.

How would creating a category save them from deletion? Also, there’s so many articles all over the place, to the point where they essentially get thrown wherever despite the megaload of sub-categories placed years ago:wink:

Precisely - they were placed years ago. It’s about time the RuneScape category got some overhaul. A lot of people support deletion for RuneScape articles just because they are against the rules - why not just separate those ideas from the other subcategories?

Because they “break the rules” doesn’t necessary mean that it’ll make everything better nor will it will be saved if there was a category for them. There’s SO much work aside from this that needs to be done with the entire category in an overall sense. How accurate are the articles that are placed in the regular money one vs. paying members, as far as sorting? What about the guides category? How accurately sorted is that one? That’s what I’m trying to get at. I’m really not seeing a need for a “rulebreaking” category right now.

If you don’t want to make the category, you don’t have to. I have been sorting the categories a little bit, but I’m still working on it. If I need to come up with a complete schematic for how all RuneScape articles should be organized, I can conjure it up in three days or so. For now, I see no reason in clumping “how to cheat the game” with “how to play the game”, though you may see no need to separate them.
