To put this simply, it seems that forum games are taking over the General Chat board on the wikiHow forums. Editors who are posting constructive content, asking for input, and so on via the General Chat board are losing visibility due to the forum games. It seems that a good idea would be to separate the forum games from the General Chat board by creating a new sub-board under General Chat, solely for the forum games. That way, any forum games can be separate from the other, non-wikiHow related material. There was somewhat of a consensus for this on IRC, so feedback will now be opened to the wikiHow forum community. Do you support or oppose separating General Chat and Forum Games, by creating a new Forum Games board?
Support. I think this is the happy medium between what it is like now and completely banning forum games. This leaves a space for productive conversation while games can still be played.

TBH, I have participated in a lot of games in the old forums and /some/ games on these new ones (yeah, I’ll open up and say that I joined in the admins vs. editors game just to end it). Over the years, and I can say in these new forums, games in general has gotten a tad too far. The number of newthreads are kind of borderline of a massive grid of duplicates - I just feel that a new person wants to start their own thread. With this said, a lot of interesting/non-wikiHow threads has been pushed down so far that a thread can go down 3-4 pages within two days or so if the games are pretty active. Is this fair for/to everyone? No. I’d like to see some separation for the kiddies whom like to enjoy wikiHow and to take a break from editing, but at the same time, playing fair with those whom want to have a normal, non-wikiHow conversation.

General Chat canand hasbeen used for other uses than just games. I support this split.

Yay! Not that I dislike games, but I heard a rumor that actual conversations about real things might have once occurred in GC. Maybe a little attn. via example in the “new” GC, by someone who isn’t a pod will be in order?
