Over the past few years that I’ve been an editor here, I’ve been noticing a slight little bug going on, that I’ve nipped right in the eye to see where it could be from. Ever notice a page in http://www.wikihow.com/Special:ListRequestedTopics that comes out showing like this: http://screencast.com/t/fQEbMLme . I’ve noticed that this only happens when the person writes the article with the originally-suggested title, then, due a title change, it goes back into the requested links. (First of all, is it then adding that article back into the database of requests to fulfill?) It’s confusing to an editor, who would’ve been trying to fulfill a request. I’ve noticed, however, that if the user creates a brand new article with a much more revised name, and then redirects the badly-linked title from there, it won’t get re-placed back into the requested topics page. And the above title isn’t the only one I’ve noticed. I’ve noticed “Turn firefox into internet explorer” as well as many others appearing that way. I realize that for people to edit the articles to add more information, you would follow the linkage, but it’s deceiving to keep an article in there, when it already has been answered. But when the title has been created and then changed…it’s just tough. Can you look into getting this problem fixed, I can’t even explain this situation better, as the number is too deceiving for this problem I see.
