I’ve been working pretty hard for WikiHow lately, especially when it comes to adding pictures. Although, I’m disappointed because I have not gotten any thumbs-up for any of them. So, I was just wondering if any experienced Wikihow contributor had any advice on how to get more thumbed up edits? Thanks!

Moving from Village Pump to Help. Just a piece of advice: Never think of rewards or have them as goals. Everything will come to you unexpectedly and that’s the best way to achieve them. You have received 19 thumbs up in the past 2 weeks, so that’s really good.

Hey Victoria, thank you for all the images you’ve been adding:slight_smile:Please don’t be disappointed if you don’t get thumbs up. To echo Maluniu, on wikiHow it’s best to do what fulfills you, for its own sake, rather than for other people’s response. You are helping to build the world’s most comprehensive, accessible how-to manual. That’s way more important than getting thumbs up:wink:

I agree with the two above me - I think the reward is helping build the highest quality how-to manual.:slight_smile:Then, personal messages and feedback are nice too.:wink:June Days

You don’t work for praise, you work for the greater good and hope that you g Get praise.

I say that the rewards are just to get your selfasteam up so you can go and make more stuff to help people out

Don’t feel bad. I busted my [hump] on everything from NABs, Recent changes, edits, Featured Articles, etc., for 3 years, even being elected admin before I got my first Barnstar. I got several awards and kudos when I least expected them. Keep up the good work. You may not realize it, but you are being noticed. You will get the awards when you least expect it. They will come.
