I was browsing the new site redesign on my laptop, and I noticed some formatting issues with the new site. All of these issues are minor and occurred on Mozilla Firefox 70.0.1 on Windows 10 1903. I’ll try to explain them as best as I can, but if you need more information, or would like me to clarify something, then feel free to ask.
The first issue is with the meet a wikiHowian section on to the side of articles. The formatting is strange. The issue is that text does not appear next to someones user image, instead, it is moved down. This looks strange and I think that it is a bug, but I’m not entirely sure.
The second issue is when you print an article from the mobile site, the text is bigger and the formatting just looks … strange. The articles look better when they are printed out from the regular site though. I did only test this by creating a PDF document of the print out, I did not actually try to print this out on actual paper because of the cost of ink, so I can’t confirm if this is an issue that would appear on actual paper.
The third issue what I found is with flagging on Community Q&A. When viewing the answered questions on an article on the new site, everything looks normal, but if you load more questions, then the “Flag as…” turns into <qa_flag_duplicate>. And although the menu does appear to come up if you hover over that text, the menu on the last one does not come up correctly.
The fourth issue is also related to Community Q&A. In the unanswered question section, there is text that says, “Flag for removal”, but if you load more unanswered questions, then the text changes to, “Flag as…”.
A good article to look at for the third and fourth issue is How to Write a Check
, because it has enough answered and unanswered questions to be able to see the issue.
I can also provide screenshots for these issues if you need them.
