Recently, I tried to add a UIB tower method to https://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:Make-Userboxes-Line-Up-Neatly
, however, when I did, I noticed some trouble was happening. Although the border is created and the first item in the tower displays just fine, it doesn’t display t2 in the place, if there is a t3 or more set. T2 is set so that it is to the right of t3 and out of order. If you add more lines, the following t value will display to the right of the following line, so that the last line (up to t30) finishes to the left of the second-to-last value creating an almost-zigzag pattern with the space to the right of t1 blank/empty! This template is found here
.
When I saw the code, I was horrified. Although I had to fix some CSS and some template data to match the parameters to set based on the use information above, the only word I said aloud was “yuck” and left trying to figure out the bug alone, because the code for this is yucky and too advanced for me to solve.
Here’s my undo, after typing the information, reverting and in this edit - undoing my revert to show how it’s coming out. https://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=wikiHow%3AMake-Userboxes-Line-Up-Neatly&type=revision&diff=31261734&oldid=31261688
I’m seeing this on Edge Chromium on my Windows 10 computer. (My computer doesn’t support Windows 11, so can’t upgrade due to hardware limitations.) What browser am I using?

Hmmm this could be a wikiHow namespace thing - @EpctoMagic
have you checked whether it works as expected on a Main namespace?
I tried it in my own namespace - the most common space where it’s would seem reasonable to use. But the test wasn’t working there either. It’s not a wikiHow-namespace thing.

I’m not sure if we have anyone around at the moment who has knowledge of this, but perhaps @Rupert28
will be able to take a look at some point
He told me at one point thats he’s taking a break for some time and may not be around.
I looked at the code and it looks like the issue is that it uses HTML tables which redesigned pages really don’t like anymore, so it would have to be rewritten to use div tags instead. I can try to look at it tomorrow to see if I can fix it, but I can’t make any promises.
Thanks for at least seeing what the troubles are. Just knowing that others are out there looking into the troubles means that others care. Thank you.
Just had some information gathering from R2_d2000. They say that it will not be so buggy if it’s filled up with more than the three it’s example is mentioning. It’s not exactly ideal, but I think this discussion can probably be closed.
