The last person to edit how to stop cyber bullying was an anonymous user. She or another anonymous user shared personal info, putting herself as Mrs Guwen, and she put up personal information about ‘DR OBODO’ a ‘spell caster’. She revealed his phone number and email. Of course, if you look at the article edit stats, there are plenty other anonymous users. What should we do?

Moved to Help using wikiHow:slight_smile:You revert such edits and move on. If another edit has occurred after the spam, then it might be difficult to revert that spam. In such cases, try to manually removing the spam. This is applied when multiple vandalism takes place. I found the edit revision where this spam took place. The edit seems to had been patrolled. Sadly, that bad edit was made 2 months ago:frowning:For now, the spam has been removed by @Abrogation316 (good!) and the page is alright now.

Thanks for letting us know about this! I have now removed the spam you mentioned. If you encounter spam or vandalism, check the page’s history and roll the edit back. I have included an article instructing how to do this below: http://www.wikihow.com/Revert-Vandalism-in-wikiHow If an editor publishes spam/vandalism to wikiHow again and again, they can be reported to the Administrator Notice Board (ANB) and blocked at an admin’s discretion. If a page is spammed/vandalised very frequently by many different anonymous users, the page can be protected; this stops anonymous users from editing it for a set period of time. Protection of certain pages can also be requested on the ANB. I have included a link to the ANB here: http://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:Administrator-Notice-Board If you have any further questions about the issue, feel free to post them on this thread. Thanks!

Thanks guys! Please close:)
