Recently, I reported an issue
with Special:WantedPages
where the Watch These Related Videos Section would cause the videos to incorrectly be displayed as broken links. While the page has been changed to remove the incorrect listings from display, it appears that the script is still picking those links up. If you visit Special:Wanted Pages
, you can see that the video links have been removed, but you’ll also notice that it is not displaying the, “There are no results for this report.” message either. Instead, you see the view menu which allows you to scroll through the listings.
It appears that the fix that was implemented simply removed the video links from view, but they are still there as far as the system is concerned. If you click on the show 500 link
, you can see that there are articles in Wanted Pages even through you cannot see them on the first page. As I said above, this is because the videos are still being listed on the page, but you just can’t see them (according to the view menu, there are 181 broken links even though only 8 are shown, which means that 173 of the links are the video links, which are simply hidden instead of removed). While this issue can be mitigated, for now, by clicking on the view 500 link, eventually there will be more than 500 related videos, which will start to cause issues with this mitigation.
