I want summer holidays to end. We have really long holidays here. I wish I was in the UK, they only get like 6 weeks.

I live on the UK and it depends, primary schools usually get 5-6 weeks but most high schools get 8 weeks, but then again most school get 6 weeks
I am enjoying my summer, mainly since it is nearly 3 months of being off from school.
In the United States, the average school year is 180 days. That could explain it.
Here it’s apparently 195 days
At the same time, the number of days this year is exactly 180 days.
I’m having an awesome summer!! (Well, for someone who wants to be an Olympic swimmer XD) Training so hard everyday for the big swim meet weekend. (The first day was today!!!) let me tell you, don’t wear a swimming tech suit unless you HAVE to. They are painful like s@$&!!! Especially for girls. Supposedly while you’re swimming your supposed to be really aerodynamic. So they make you wear these really tight swimsuits that make you literally as sucked in as a stick. Great!!! Now I can’t breathe! ;p I am sooo not ready for school to start.

The reason our Summer break is so long is because they take from our other breaks. Christmas break is 3 weeks generally, thanksgiving 1 week, Spring Break 1 (sometimes 2) and other holidays generally have no break or a single day. We also have half-days and early releases. Im not in grade school anymore so this could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure it still works like this.

it’s not really clothing, more swimsuit. If you watch a recent (woman) Olympic swimming race you will see the suits im talking about.
