Whenever I send a message to anyone, in between the other message before my message, once I post it, there is a gap between my message and the previous message. Screenshot: http://www.wikihow.com/Image:Screen-Shot-2014-12-30-at-4.00.18-PM.png
Then when I refresh it, there is no more gap. Screenshot: http://www.wikihow.com/Image:Screen-Shot-2014-12-30-at-4.00.28-PM.png
I have seen that when sending messages too. This is nothing new, and also does not seem like it would be a bug. It’s just the way that the message shows up after clicking the “Post” button.

Hi @Hailey
, We ( @Lojjik
and I) just made some changes to the way messages are posted on talk and discussion pages. Very perceptive of you.
We fixed the problem where your user icon used to not show beside a message initially after posting it, but then would show properly on refresh. Ideally there would be no gap that you notice, but we felt like spending more time making it perfect wasn’t good value. Hope you don’t mind the little quirk. The reason it happens this way is that the html for the message you’re posting is generated outside the context page when you first post it, but when it’s generated within the whole page after a refresh, it places the message slightly differently. I know that explanation is a bit technical, but I just wanted to try to shed some light on why it comes about (and maybe will help you understand why we think it might not be worth spending more time to fix). Ah, okay, so that’s one mystery solved for me as well
While we’re on the topic of changes, The leaderboard images to the right in NFD guardian seem bigger than they were before. I presume its your work @Reuben
?
