The article is straightforward and accurate, and it works if you follow the steps and copy/paste the code.
You’re probably going to have better luck getting help with this if you ask specific questions or explain what you’re having trouble with…instead of asking for general help…

Anyway, the way the article is phrased makes it sound a bit harder than it is. Basically, just copy the code below into http://www.wikihow.com/Template:Put-Template-Name-Here
. Replace all the text after the equal signs with whatever you want it to be.
A list of colors to use can be found here
. Move your mouse over the color you want, and use the code that looks like “ #XXXXXX
”. A lot of making a UIB is just playing around with all the different settings and seeing what looks good. If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page.
