ok I just was brainstorming, and I thought, what if in the welcome template, there was a link to the introduce yourself thread? I mean, I don’t have a clue as to what it takes and how in the world you create and edit templates, but if we added this to the welcome template, maybe it would help users introduce themselves and meet people. it could also show them the forums if they haven’t already found them. or we could create another thread similar or edit the title of the one that is open right now so that experienced users can leave advice and tips??? just a thought. what do you guys think?
I think that is a great idea, although it seems that the “forums-types” find the forums (from the EXPLORE drop down list) so quickly it makes your head spin. (You are a good example.) Also, since the forums do not have a lot of active threads everything is pretty easy to find. I might be better, though, if the particular pinned thread showed without having to click into the “General Chat” category.
