Hey,

I think it’d be good to have a centralized suicide prevention template that would be added to the end of the intro of articles that may influence or assist someone when taking their life like How To Tie a Noose

It’d mean that we could update warnings with the most helpful and up-to-date content from one place, making sure that the people who need it are getting the best help. If possible, it could also display different information for different countries - Australian visitors would get told to dial Triple Zero, 13 11 14 (Lifeline Australia) or the National Relay Service for those who need it.

Hi.  I understand that it would be nice to have that as a template.  I am opposed to a template, though.  Maybe @Anna can have information related to suicide prevention implemented into the software, so that the suicide prevention number appears at the top of search results.

I think it makes sense to include sensitive warnings on pages that *very* directly relate to suicidal ideation - as we already do in most cases, I think. But I don’t think it’s a common enough issue to merit a template - it’s actually bad web practice to have pages with duplicated content, word for word across different articles, so we generally avoid any templated/repeated content. Best thing to do would probably be to just update existing warnings where you think new resources or numbers are needed, with the personal touch depending on the topic. The instances should be pretty rare but if existing warnings need updating, go for it - and thanks for looking out for readers in tough spots.

No worries, thanks @Anna
