I was partolling RC, and stumbled across these templates , I believe that we already have templates that cover these subjects, and I believe these may violate a policy? I could easily be wrong, but I’m not sure what to do.

I don’t think having different templates violate policy—one may choose to use personalized versions of templates if they’d like to go beyond {{test}}, {{exlinks}}, {{blank}} and {{warning}}.

While I am with the thought that such kind of detail is not really required on this site (given the lower editing traffic and light amount of policies), it is also worth noting that the user in question is a proficient elsewhere where such format is widely used, and so they may find it more comfortable this way:slight_smile:

I’m not particularly keen on the “final warning” iterations of some of the templates as that is exclusively an admin’s decision. Outside of that, some templates appear to have some ground to cover on assuming good faith as well as accuracy, potentially. But creating templates for personal use alone is fine.

I know this isn’t what you were asking, but I think we do need an {{nfd|ai}} template for clearly unedited ai articles, like the ones that don’t even bother removing the “Certainly! Here are some tips — yada yada yada”

@JayneG I know we don’t need to speedy delete such articles, but what’s your opinion on an AI NFD template?

@Freyrr There’s been a lot of “wait and see” in this space over the last couple of years ( Auto-generated Content, Chatbots & ChatGPT ). We do not have an integrated or foolproof way to determine AI content, so it is a little murky there. However, I’m open to having a template (potentially not NFD?) if there’s community consensus. If that’s of interest, I’d recommend starting a new topic:slight_smile:
