Hello everyone! If you didn’t see it yet on the Central Project Page, I just started a new project! It’s called the new article improvement project. Statement of Purpose:To improve new articles listed here ( http://www.wikihow.com/Special:Newpages
). We make various improvements to articles, such as copyediting, formatting, weaving links and adding related wikiHows. We also provide an edit summary about the improvements we made so others know about our edits to various articles. Once we’re done editing articles, we write a personal note thanking the author for writing a new article, showing him/her the edits we made, and offering any help. Please refrain from criticizing new editors, it might discourage them. If you do not have time for heavy edits, please add a template at the top of an article, to leave the editing for another wikiHow editor. These templates include {{copyedit}}, {{format}}, {{personal}} and {{introduction}}. If you think an article is RS worthy, please post a comment on its discussion page. However, remember that once an article has been marked as patrolled by a new article booster (without awarding a Rising Star), it cannot be selected as a Rising Star. If you are making a boldedit to an article (expanding a stub, fact checking, etc.) please add the {{inuse}} template before doing so. This lets other editors know that you are currently editing the page and keeps others from editing parts of the article while you are editing it. Use {{nfd}} if an article violates the Deletion Policy. You can even delete articles if you are an administrator, but please exercise caution when doing this. Here are some articles and policies you might want to read: http://www.wikihow.com/Patrol-New-Articles-on-wikiHow

I also have spots for 2-3 project managers. Project Managersare experienced editors that review the improvements to a new article, coaching messages to the authors of articles, and kindly give other project members feedback on how well they did when doing both of these things. If you would like to help out with project managing, please email me, or, if you don’t have an email address, comment here or on my talk page. Email is at emilyrami123@gmail.com
But be sure to do any of these things before time runs out! I am only going to accept about 2 or 3 project managers.
I already notified you of assisting users who find RS worthy articles. Is that still okay?
Good luck for this project. One question: How is this different from NAB?
I assume this is for users who are not NABers, don’t have time to test, in process of testing, preparing for test, ect…
This is a little different from NAB. Mainly for people who are preparing for it.
I’d like to join this project, so shall I just add my name to members list? Also, adelaide, owner doesn’t suit well I guess… my suggestion is that you change it to founder.
cool I’d like to join this project too…
@Shinako
@Akash
Dahal Yes. People who join will need to add their names to the members list. I’d be happy to help you improve your editing skills as well. And @Shinako
this would be a good preparation for the NAB test. Since I heard you keep trying Part 1 and don’t pass, it’d be great to have you train!!
NAB test…
@Shinako
Best of luck and umm… #I_wanna_give_that_test_too
@Adelaide
, Thanks…gonna add my name now…
