I noticed earlier today that my user page had some weird formatting on it. At first, I thought that it was a bug relating to the media wiki upgrade, but I noticed latter that the strange formatting on my user page was from the {{ User Candy }} UIB that was on my user page. I know that the problem was this UIB because when I removed it, my user page returned to normal. I have put it back so that everyone who reads this forums post can see the strange formatting, so that they have an idea of what’s wrong, because it won’t show up in an old revision for some reason.

You can see the strange formatting on my user page here . The issues are that the {{important}} template has strange formatting, and not all of my UIBs display.

The issue seems to be that the {{User Candy}} UIB is poorly written, and the newer version of MediaWiki is not as tolerant of poorly written UIBs as the older version. If anybody knows how to fix it, then feel free to do so. If you can’t find a problem with the UIB, then you might want to try to recreate the UIB from scratch. I would fix it myself, but I do not know how to edit/create UIBs, so I decided to ask for help here to try to find volunteers fix it. Thank you, and please let me know if you have any questions.

I can do it!:stuck_out_tongue:

@Mymy-B Please do!

All done! Try adding the UIB now to see if it’s fixed.

@Mymy-B , it appears to be fixed. Thank you, that was supper fast!:slight_smile:

No problem! The format of the UIB was a little outdated:smiley:

Lol, R2, I like your “This author is over the age of five!” UIB:wink:
