You had many chances to stop i get you might not like WikiHow as it is but if so please leave!

a little birdy told me “kindness is within every soul”  but show us your kindness. Trolling just makes us delete and tag which takes up time where we could’ve been helping new users. I have made two articles warning you about this topic. I don’t expect you to stop right after reading this article but please if you see someone stop them! We have so many good people in WikiHow so lets embrace it instead of vandalizing our articles!

Honestly, it’s often best to not get mad (or at least, not let them see you get mad!). A troll’s goal is to get a reaction out of you, and if you give them that, you’re only giving them what they want. That just encourages them to keep at it. You’d be surprised at how many trolls stop because we assume good faith and treat them kindly rather than immediately yelling at them:slight_smile:

I agree with Galactic Radiance, It isn’t worth it because fulfilling their goal for a reaction will more than likely trigger more and if not more some worse trolling.

Exactly, the reason they troll is to get reactions. This is why coaching is better than getting mad.

That’s just the goal of a troll.  Get you angry for their own sick entertainment.

It’s best to first tell them with {{test}}, and if they continue use {{warning}}.  If it continues report them to the ANB.

I was trolled by someone sorry for the foul language but that’s their username I vote on them being banned

@Oakraiderz You might want to edit out the user name. We don’t really reveal the names of people who have trolled us, etc.

@Oakraiderz Like Midnight Dreams said you should probably edit out the username. Also if you want them to be banned report them to the Administers Notice Board. I can give you the link to it if you want.

It’s just annoying whenever trolls try to ruin this beautiful community with a great cause.

But saying so means that they know it gets to you, which means they’ll keep trolling. One of the prime reasons to keep those anti-troll rants off the site!:wink:

Yes. Please don’t report people in the ANB just because you want them banned. Only report things that need immediate admin attention, please. Such as, trollers/vandalizers who have persistently continued despite multiple warnings or etc.
