Just looking for a general feel about something from everyone. I have always felt that Steps and Tips are totally separate. A wikiHow article has to have Steps, it doesn’t have to have tips. So, whenever I see an introduction that says anything along the lines of “…But with a few tips, you can make all your characters shine.” - I edit the intro. This article has been edited by a few different people, but I was the only one to remove the reference to tips in the intro. Am I getting it wrong? Is it okay to describe steps as tips? http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Write-a-Disabled-Character&diff=20380294&oldid=20375268

I don’t have any objection to your changes, for sure, so not a problem to me… But the use of “tips” in the intro has never bothered me. To me, when it’s not referring to the “Tips” section specifically, the use of a phrase like “with the following tips,” just reads like “with this advice” - so it doesn’t seem like a problem to call it advice, steps, methods, tips, article, guide, instructions, etc. Personally, I don’t think the reader will be any more or less helped with any one of those word choices, but it’s always possible I’m under-thinking it!

Thank you @Anna . Maybe you’re not under thinking, 'praps it’s me over thinking things. I’ll give it some more thought…!
