Hi! So, I really don’t see the point in unused categories staying around wikiHow. I mean, even if someone created an article that could go in one of said categories, it could just be put in the category in which the unused category was nested under. I thought I heard something about wanting fewer subcategories, so maybe this would help the efforts a bit. But I don’t know, if there’s a reason behind keeping unused categories, then please tell me so I know from now on.

Many of those are things such as nfd’d article categories (i.e. “dru” or “cha”) that currently have no articles filed under them, or pages needing to be converted into other languages. These (which to me seem to be the majority) will likely stay, though I’m unsure if any action would be taken to delete those other categories. So, I’m taking it you’re asking to delete the empty categories (ones that aren’t nfds or language pages or anything like that) to clear space?
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking of.
