Calling all techies! One of the big challenges we have at wikiHow is keeping up with changes in the tech world and making sure our tech articles stay up to date. Things often move so quickly that it can be hard to keep on top of changes that an app or service makes for completing a particular task!

In order to help combat this, we’ve just identified a bunch of tech articles that haven’t had big edits in some time, which means that they could be behind the times and therefore potentially inaccurate. We’ve put them into a spreadsheet and would love to get your help reviewing them to confirm whether the article content and images are still accurate, and to let us know if you think the article needs any changes.
If you’d like to help with this project, we have a spreadsheet with a list of the articles and columns for feedback. Please add your username in Column D next to any articles that you’d like to claim and look over. There’s no need to go in any particular order, so feel free to pick and choose any that you’d like!
You can find the spreadsheet here: Tech articles (Community review) - Google Sheets
Even just checking one article will be super helpful, so thank you (in advance) for helping with this project!

Question: what if we can only check part of one article? There are several tech articles on this list that cover multiple devices or OSes. Is it possible to claim “half” an article and leave the other half open for someone who has the other device?

Yes, feel free to highlight the article title so we can all see which need some further review. If you just note which methods you reviewed with your username that should work!

Sorry to bump, but… is this still active? I see some articles still not reviewed in there.

Great question FP! But this project didn’t really take off, so we’re not pursuing it at this time.
