I found another article in RC Patrol.
https://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Curl-Your-Hair-Without-Heat&diff=prev&oldid=21045474
This user added a method that the article does not seem to have a method on already. I made some copyedits, but is it accurate? If not, should it be removed completely or expanded to better help readers?

Hey @Hailey-Girges
,
Sorry - I just acted on this one before seeing the post here. This one comes off pretty spammy to me - I think they’re trying to promote the product. I looked up the editor’s name on Google, too, and I got some hits indicating that she’s working in marketing for CharlieCurls. Unless anyone neutral and unbiased can vouch for the method, I’m not sure it makes sense to keep it there.

Okay. I’ll search up any users’ names that sound like that in the future just in case.

@Hailey-Girges
- No worries; it’s not really essential to do a search for names across the board, and sometimes nothing comes up anyway… but I got curious on that one, since it was promoting a particular product and was their first edit here (so they didn’t have a history of contributing neutrally on other topics). And then got lucky with the search, that something actually came up!
There isn’t always a black-and-white answer for these cases, but I think if it’s promoting one particular commercial product, they’re trying to put that product above other neutral/easy methods, and they don’t have a history of contributing neutrally and helpfully to the wiki in other places, the odds are often quite good they’re aiming to market something. Bummer that folks do that :/
Thanks for posting about this one! Always good to get a second opinion when something seems borderline… I end up doing that quite a lot myself (asking someone else in the community or at the wikiHaus what they think of an edit like this, especially if they know the topic better than I do, or posting here on the forums), so I’m with ya on the approach!

Okay, thanks for the advice.
