Hi everyone who’s reading this. Since I’m kind of new to the forums, I have a question. I see in discussions a lot telling people not to bump threads. What does this mean?

Hiya @PianoLover1016
bumping a thread is when someone posts a new comment on an old thread and it “bumps” the thread back up to the top of the category because of the new comment. Sometimes it’s best not to bump threads that are old and don’t need to come back :)

A general rule of thumb is to only comment on threads that have been updated in the past month. Posting on a thread that hasn’t been posted on in three or more months would likely be considered “bumping”.
