What odd things did your parents tell you and you believed? When I was younger, I was holding a sweet in my hands at a shop but then my mum told me that I couldn’t get it because I was holding it at the till, which was apparently against the law (-: To this day if I get something from the shops it always finds itself in the trolley!

I used to believe in my toys moving in the night when I watched Toy Story for the first time as a little girl. Freaked me out a lot! :)

@Vishwavijay my younger sister Sage thought that too but I told her that there was no sun so it was impossible. She still won’t eat apple or watermelon seeds though XD

As I have stated before, me and him have the biggest YouTuber obsession, and I’m all over a YouTuber called Troye Sivan, who happens to have a sister called Sage. We loved the name and thought it sounded down to earth yet mysterious, so we suggested that name and it was an instant hit (-:

@Vishwavijay Yeah he is SUPER SUPER hot, but he’s gay so I have no chance with Troye boy (-; Also, he’s only 5’6, and I’m 6 ft so if we ever DID get together it would be extra awkward! And thanks, Sage is only 5 herself, but I told my mum on the phone and she wishes you a blessed life and thanks you for the name compliment. Also I read the upper comments again and remembered that I read somewhere that apple seeds should be avoided as it contains a little bit of cyanide. Apparently there has been no serious news except about this guy who had a cup full of seeds to harm himself and he did.

My dad always told me that and was always afraid of eating watermelon! In Diary of a Wimpy Kid, there was a mention of Greg saying he used to believe that! I am still afraid of watermelons.

Cyanide was what killed Alan Turing,well he poisined his apple. If you check out the deleted scenes of The Imitation Game, you’ll see his death featuring the apple…with a bite. Where does that bite matter, you might ask? Be prepared to get your hearts broken like I did:

Vish,he ate watermelons,but where I’m from we eat platains, kind of like bananas, and when my mom cooked them, he never ate the seeds.:slight_smile: I do eat fruits. like bananas, peaches and my favorites: pineapples and mangos. I had mangos just yesterday!:slight_smile:

Okay, Ill need some researching about The imitation games and alan turing.

Hmmm, I also read that apple wanted to use the full apple logo but they made  a bite mark because they wanted to make sure its an apple and not a cherry. But we cant know everything about the background reason I guess.

Oh,I didn’t know that. Alan Turing was the one who invented the model for the computer software and system and its functions. I saw The Imitation Game two months ago and I think it mentioned Apple and Turing being related.
