Welcome to this thread! Here we speak about languages! Some examples of questions you can ask is:
Which language do you speak at home? What is your mother tongue?
Which language do you like?

…and many more! If you feel the question is a bit private/you feel the answer can be kept private, you can always feel free to post ‘‘Private!’’,and ask your question!

So I ask,

Which language do you like?

Aha! English is my fave language because it connects so many of us together from different places on the globe!:slightly_smiling_face:! It’s just about everywhere! Hehe. Also, I like Hindi too because it’s rich in tradition and my mother tongue!! It’s also pretty simple to learn! Sanskrit sounds so beautiful and poetic! I get good grades in it,:stuck_out_tongue:! It’s so logical! And then Korean is also kinda cool!:stuck_out_tongue:! But again, my favorite has to be English!:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::heart_decoration:

I always speak English to my siblings (not once I talked in another language), but I’d talk to my parents in Chinese or English, depending on how I feel.

Cool!:grinning:

:smiley:ooh! Nice!

Great! Chinese seems good!

And! Nature Power’s revealing!

I actually like Tamil,as it’s my mother tongue! It looks hard but it’s pretty simple to learn. I also like to speak in Bengali,Hindi and Punjabi because they’re cool. English has been one of my favourite languages,as Tvisha said,it’s globally helpful and am getting very good grades in it too which makes me have another like on it:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. I know many other languages but these are my favourite. But again,Tamil is my favourite language!

Now,question 2!Which language is your goal language(you want to learn that language)?

Korean, but sadly school’s taking a toll on me so I can’t…:sob:

English isn’t actually my first language. Arabic was. However, I only spoke Arabic as a small child, so I’ve forgotten it over the years.

I only speak English-

Unless you count Latin, but I only know so many words in it.

I speak English as well as a bit of my mother tongue Efik.

I’ve always wanted to learn Korean but it is super hard. So I am currently learning, Spanish and French.

I like English the best. I can speak alright in Spanish and French, and I’m alright at Latin as well, and I know a teeeeeeensy bit of Danish and Russian.

I speak English, but I love French and I’m currently learning it in school and out of school.

English, English, and English for each question. Although, I want to continue to learn German - but it’s SO hard. I’m super stumped at the grammar and all these other rules for sentence structure.:frowning:

I know a little bit of Russian too. Only “Hello” “How are you” “My name is…” and some words (like taxi, home, radio, etc.)

The alphabet isn’t the hardest to catch on to either. People make it seem so hard because it’s not relevant to the Germanic language group.

My mother tongue is English. However, although I don’t speak proficiently, I know quite a bit in German. It’s not very hard at all, once you know most of the underlying concepts and words - it’s tricky though.

I taught myself some of the American Sign Language for at least the numbers between 1 and 15, but I know I can be taught more if I have the right person to teach me - who knows both and hears English and can teach ASL. (That’s how I work best with learning.)

Question 3:

If you could change your mother tongue, would you? If yes,to what? If no,why? (Guess most answers would be no:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)
