Someone that I work with is planning on integrating a wiki type ‘setup’ into their program. They want to be able to create ‘living documents’ for finding and using resources for veterans in Washington. They know that I write for a wiki and have asked for my help and input. While I obviously know my way around wikiHow, I have a lot to learn about wikis in general. Does anyone here have any ideas and suggestions or concerns that it would be helpful for me to be aware of??

@elocina might have some ideas. She has experience with a lot of different kinds of wikis.

@Dvortygirl may have some ideas, too. I do know that other wikis are hard to get around, and they’re communities aren’t nearly as nice as wikiHow. Fair warning. =) June Days

Teresa, I’ve sent you an email since I didn’t know if everyone would be interested and I didn’t want to bombard the forums with a bunch of info. If anyone else wants general advice about creating wikis or using different platforms outside of MediaWiki/wikiHow, feel free to email me outside of the forums.

I don’t suppose you could resend that to me at work. teresat@dva.wa.gov
